Dr. Shriver brings the sincerity and honesty of the doctor/patient relationship into the intricate world of Commercial Real Estate. Backed by Beynon and Company's track record in Pittsburgh spanning over 100 years, he's "diagnosed" and "cured" a number of Commercial Real Estate cases from multi unit residential buildings to multi-million dollar office buildings.
From Healthcare to Commercial Real Estate?
Having a heart for serving people and wanting to help in truly meaningful ways has always been a theme Darin's life, which is why he was initially drawn to a career in healthcare. "Real healthcare without drugs or surgery" was his motto. Little did he know the challenges patients would face seeking cost effective, non invasive and all natural health care options. After 5 years trying to bridge the gap between what patients needed and what was feasible, he decided to look for another way to provide a valuable service to those whom were working through big decisions. It wasn't long before he realized a love for real estate. To manage the transition, he began abstracting for an oil and gas firm out of Morgantown, WV. For the next 3 years he worked in courthouses from Mansfield, OH to Waynesburg, PA, wrote reports at every coffee shop in the tri-state area, and showed houses as a residential REALTOR evenings and weekends while continuing to manage a small practice in the Pittsburgh area. Loooong days for sure. Over 40,000 miles on his car that first year but it allowed him to make the switch to Commercial Real Estate when he met Rich Beynon and Ben Brown at Beynon and Company in the fall of 2014.
His current focus is on commercial real estate leasing and sales, combining his experiences as a professional on a wide variety of deals including office and industrial leasing and sales of properties in Washington and Allegheny County. His focus is and always has been building quality relationships over quantity, which are the same principles that have allowed Beynon and Company to build a 100+ year history of getting sales closed and leases signed.
